"Visit one another for in your visitation is thy revival of your hearts, and remember [recite] our traditions. For our traditions brings forth kindness amongst yourselves. For if you take them, you will find guidance and salvation, and if you leave them you will be misguided and destroyed. Therefore take, for we want your salvation."

Does this have a source? I keep on seeing it shared if it has no source please don’t say ‘Imam Ali (ع)’ but say ‘Ascribed to imam Ali (ع)’. Since I research this and I couldn’t find anything. If someone can please do tell me. If there is no source is a great sin to say its from Him (ع).

Benefits of Invoking Lā’nāh

The benefits of invoking curses (Lā’nāh) upon the enemies of Allah (swt). In the Quran, Allah (swt) uses “La’n” in various forms in approximelty 32 different verses. These verses range from Allah’s curse, angels, Prophets, as well as the servants of Allah on this Earth. Hence, we can conclude that Lā’nāh has great benefits to the invokator of the curse, for why would Allah (swt) do something without reason?

We read in our narrations the several good deeds that are recorded when sending a curse upon the enemy. We also read that one of the biggest crimes is to send a curse upon a believer. Since these curses are kept for the enemies of Allah.

As an example, I present to you with this narration I had translated from Tāfsīr Al-‘Ayyāshi:

Muhāmmād b. Mās’ood Al-‘Ayāāshi in his Tāfsīr with his Isnād on authority of the Thiqāt Zurārāh, from Abu ‘Abdullāh (عليه السلام), he said concerning the following words in the Holy Qurān, ‘He who brings forth a Hasānah (Good Deed), his Hasānah will be multiplied.’ Imam (عليه السلام) said, “He who remembers them (Abu Bakr & Omār) and curses (Lā’nāh) them, Allah will write for him seventy Hasanāt and erase from him ten bad deeds and raise him ten levels (in heaven). (2)

(1) Surāh Al-An’ām, Verse 160
(2) Tāfsīr al-‘Ayāāshī, V.1, Pg.387; Al-Bihār, V.30, P.222; Al-Muhtādhr, Pg.35

Note: This is one out of 100’s of examples. We read in sahifa al-Sajadyia a similar example where the number is 70,000 and in some narrations 10,000. You can find a similar longer version in Basā’ir Al-Darajāt.

"The house of Sayyida Al-Zahra (س) is so quiet now. No Ali, no Zahra just tears now. Eid approaches and young Zaynab is in pain. After her mother she watched her father slain. Drenched from the blood of his head. Zaynab cried as Ali bled."
